My Story
Hi friend! I'm Adrienne, and I’m a San Diego native, born and raised. I've been teaching yoga since 2016 and practicing since 2011. I'm also a therapeutic massage and holistic health practitioner who specializes in pain management and injury recovery. I own my own practice, The Lioness Touch, and I work with clients 1:1 for bodywork and individualized movement coaching out of my home in north county, SD.
My goal is to empower people to cultivate a healthier relationship with their bodies through accessible, functional movement and a loving mindset. With every class I teach, I want my students to learn about and explore their bodies so that they can move better and feel better in their everyday lives! I’ve taken (and continue to take) several specialized trainings to make sure that I’m teaching my clients and students from a science-based approach.
My teaching style blends mobility-based, functional movement with basic yoga postures to improve your joint health, gain better stability and strength, and reduce stiffness and tightness. No trying to put your leg behind your head in my classes!
I believe that we should adapt yoga poses to fit our bodies, not that we should force our bodies into specific shapes.
When I’m not teaching, massaging, or studying, you can find me snuggled up with my two dogs aka children on the couch watching Netflix, reading an epic fantasy fiction novel, spending time outdoors, or dancing the night away at concerts and festivals.
When you take a class with me, expect to learn a little, play a lot, and leave feeling limber, strong, and relaxed! I can't wait to see you on the mat!
